iEMSs 2018 announced!

Dear iEMSs friends,

I am very pleased to announce that the iEMSs Conference Committee has selected a proposal led by Mazdak Arabi and Olaf David at Colorado State University to host iEMSs 2018 in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA (see http://www.visitftcollins.com/).

The website is now online at 'http://iemss2018.engr.colostate.edu

Mazdak and Olaf have organized a strong local organizing committee including several long-time iEMSs members. Their proposed program promises to be exciting and engaging and to build on the legacy of our congresses (dating back to 2002!)

As you know, iEMSs is growing into the leading international biennial conference on all topics related to environmental modelling & software. So please start planning now for your 2018 Colorado adventure. The planned dates are June 24-28, 2018.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in hosting 2018. And thank you very much to Mazdak and Olaf and their team for preparing such a well-considered proposal and for taking on this challenge!

Sincerely,

Dan Ames, Conference Committee Chair
On behalf of the Conference Committee members including: Kristina Voigt, Nigel Quinn, Ralf Seppelt, Susan Cuddy, Robert Argent, and Andrea Rizzoli

iEMSs 2018 - Call for hosting

The next iEMSs conference will be held in Toulouse, July 2016. The conference location was selected after a long evaluation process, where different candidate locations competed to host iEMSs 2016.

We are now looking for a city to host iEMSs 2018, and the bidding process is open. The whole procedure is explained in detail in the link document: iEMSs 2018 - call for hosting

The iEMSs Conference Committee, chaired by our VP Dan Ames,  is in charge of evaluating the bids and to make a decision.
