Prof. Dr. Lorenz M. Hilty is Head of the Technology and Society Lab at
Empa, the Swiss Federal laboratories for Materials Testing and Research,
and teaches at the Computer Science Institute (Institut für Informatik)
of the University of Zurich. Research interests: environmental and
social aspects of ICT, ICT and sustainability, environmental information
systems, modelling and simulation methodology in interdisciplinary
contexts.
