Andre Zerger is a spatial analyst with CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems
based in Canberra, Australia. He has an interest in developing
geospatial technologies and decision support tools for addressing
natural resource management challenges, with a particular emphasis on
biodiversity research. His current research is developing methods for
mapping native vegetation condition at regional scales through an
integration of remote sensing and spatial statistical modelling, and the
application of multi-criteria analysis methods for developing new
approaches to 'precision conservation' in agricultural landscapes. He
also has extensive expertise in the development of spatial models for
natural hazard risk reduction, primarily in the flood hazard domain.
