Conferences

• MODSIM 05 is coming. It will be held in Melbourne, in late 2005. Keep an eye on it!
• ISESS 05 is an upcoming conference of great interest to all iEMSs members. Portugal, 24-27 March 2005.
• MODSIM 2003 has been organised by the Modelling and Simulation Society of Australia and New Zealand (MSSANZ), a society with which iEMSs has a number of overlapping members. The proceedings are available online.
• A useful list of conferences on environmental themes and subjects, managed by Enviroment Technology List.

Research Networks

• STARS
  The STARS network provides a vehicle for promoting the integration and collaboration of researchers, managers and communities involved in improving the sustainability of Australia's terrestrial, aquifer and riverine systems. The network will facilitate the linking of different streams of world-class research with managers, industry and community.
• Harmoni-CA
  Harmonised Modelling Tools for Integrated Basin Management for implementing the Water Framework Directive developing river basin management plans, backed up by high quality ICT tools. Harmoni-CA will produce guidance and methodologies based on support and consensus achieved by involving science, policy and stakeholders, synthesising available knowledge, establishing broad dialogues and tuning projects
