• Workshops will have variable lengths depending on the amount of time nominated by the workshop organizers
• Workshops for each theme should be focused on specific questions identified by people who nominate themselves as potential participants before the conference
• A theme workshop may be split into several sessions each of which focuses on a different question or aspect.
• The final day of the conference will have a 'plenary' session where workshop organizers present on the progress and outcomes of the workshops.
• Workshop organizers and participants are expected to co-author papers from the workshop discussions, which might be published as part of the Elsevier IDEA book series and which would be focused on achieving the conference aims.

Notification of intent to submit position paper (if more than one is planned)	November 15, 2005
Publication of Position Paper(s) on-line	November 30, 2005
Notification of interest	December 1, 2005
Abstracts submission	December 15, 2005
Notification of acceptance	January 25, 2006 or ealier
Joint work on the on-line version of the position paper(s)	December -- March
Early conference registration	January 31, 2006
Final revised camera-ready abstracts and position papers	April 30, 2006
Continue on-line discussions	May -- July
Workshop	July 9-13, 2006
